Our organic Moth beans are grown in small pods, on thick matted bushes, and in winter are picked, dried, and threshed both mechanically and by hand which ensure that only the finest and highest quality of beans are obtained. Our Moth beans are small elongated beans with brown skin and a brownish-yellow interior, with a nutty flavor and a strong earthly smell. We carry out our cleaning process such that there is no contamination of dust or other dirt particles, and that the nutrients of the beans are maintained. Moth beans are usually cooked with dry spices, coconut and fresh coriander leaves, but can also be enjoyed as a thick puree with rice. As compared to other legumes, Moth beans do not contain antinutritional factors that limit available protein, and hence makes for a more beneficial choice for consumption.
