Bay leaf also known as “TejPatta” is an aromatic leaf that is used for many culinary and medicinal purposes. Bytewise’s organic bay leafs impart a strong cassia- or cinnamon like aroma to the dishes. The bay leafs are three veined, elliptical, pointed, smooth and tough, and are used in fresh, dried or powdered form. They are mainly used in preparation of biryani or pulav, and as an ingredient n Garam Masala. Apart from their culinary uses, they have medicinal properties and are known for their anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, diuretic and astringent properties.
