These dals are mixed in a balanced proportion to ensure that the benefits and nutritional values of each of these dals are present within the mixture. Mixed dal is cooked and often flavored with butter, chilies, cumin, cloves, cardamom, ginger etc. and forms and important part of Indian cuisine.
